This policy describes how MIDIWorld (“the App”) handles information when you use it. MIDIWorld turns sensor and environmental signals on your device into MIDI data for music and experimentation.
MIDIWorld is provided by the developer identified on the App Store product page. For privacy questions, use the support contact listed there.
Most processing happens locally on your iPhone or iPad. That includes mapping motion, touch, light, proximity, device orientation, audio level/pitch-derived values (when you grant microphone access), and similar inputs into MIDI-style control values and recordings you create.
Recordings, presets, and exported files you generate are stored in your app’s sandbox or shared by you through the system share sheet. We do not operate a cloud account or sync service for your sessions as part of the App itself.
If you allow location access, the App may use your approximate or precise location (depending on your choice and system settings) to:
Those third-party services receive the parameters needed for each request (typically including latitude/longitude for weather and seismic queries). Their handling of requests is governed by their own policies. MIDIWorld does not sell your location.
Background location may be used only when you have granted the appropriate permission and the App needs it for features you enable; iOS controls when background updates are delivered.
If you grant access to Apple Health, the App may read the categories you authorize (for example heart rate, activity, or related metrics described in the permission prompt) to map values to MIDI. Health data is read through HealthKit on your device and is not transmitted to our servers by the App, because the App does not operate such servers for that purpose.
If you grant microphone access, the App analyzes input to derive control signals (such as level or pitch estimates) for MIDI. It is not intended to upload or store your raw audio on our servers; the App does not include that functionality.
Motion and fitness-related data (for example accelerometer, gyroscope, pedometer, activity classification) may be used on device when you use corresponding features. Bluetooth proximity and network quality metrics are used locally to drive MIDI where supported.
When you use features that depend on live data (weather, markets, forex quotes, public APIs, etc.), the App makes network requests from your device to those services. Those requests may include coarse location or query parameters required by the service. MIDIWorld does not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App as shipped from this project; if that ever changes, this policy will be updated.
Theme, MIDI routing preferences, and similar options may be stored using Apple’s standard on-device storage (for example UserDefaults) and remain on your device.
The App is not directed at children under 13 in a distinct way; parents and guardians should supervise use of device permissions and sharing of exported files.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
