This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application Food Wheel (“the App”) handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Location. The App requests access to your device’s location so it can find restaurants and points of interest near you when you search. Location is used to perform searches in the App and is not used to build an advertising profile in the App.

Favorites and history. When you save favorites or view your history, that information is stored locally on your device (for example, using the device’s standard on-device storage). It is not transmitted to our servers, because the App does not operate its own backend for that data.

Restaurant search. To show nearby places, the App uses Apple’s MapKit services on your device. Those requests are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and may involve processing by Apple as described there.

How we use information

• To show restaurant results relevant to your chosen area and preferences.
• To let you save favorites and see your recent history inside the App.
• To operate and improve the App’s features.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. The App is designed so that favorites and history stay on your device unless you choose to share something yourself (for example, through another app or system feature outside this App).

Apple may process data when you use MapKit, Sign in with Apple (if applicable), or other Apple frameworks; see Apple’s documentation and privacy policy for details.

Data retention

Favorites and history persist on your device until you remove them in the App or delete the App. Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored data depending on your device settings.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner that requires parental consent under applicable law.

Your choices

• You can grant or revoke location permission in your device’s Settings for the App.
• You can clear favorites/history within the App where those features are available.

International users

If you use the App outside the country where it was published, your information may be processed on your device and by service providers (such as Apple) according to their policies and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
